630 Ramona Street

Palo Alto, CA

While a relatively small building, 630 Ramona Street in downtown Palo Alto plays a significant role in preserving the vibrant historic fabric of downtown.  Orignally built as an english furniture showroom, the building had gone through many remodels including a dry cleaner, a Mexican restaurant and nightclub.  Registered as a historic landmark, the renovation of this 80 year old building was carefully designed, negotiated and orchestrated to meet all parties who held a vested interest.  In the end, Palo Alto retained a precious gem, the owner has a beautiful asset and the tenant a unique and functional office space.  The project was nominated by Palo Alto Planning Department for multiple historic preservation awards.
